You might be wondering what Verterra means...well, we kinda made it up.

We both grew up in Vermont. We love being outside. You know when you see sunlight shining through leaves, or grassy pastures on a breezy day? Whatever that is. We wanted to sum that up in a word. So, Verterra Films was born

Not only are we wedding filmmakers, we both work professionally in the media industry in Portland, Maine. Mercedes as a creative editor, and Jesse as a sound engineer and commercial videographer. Having worked on documentaries, podcasts, television shows, commercials, and short films, we’ve learned a thing or two about creative production.

Editor extraordinaire. Camera collector. Podcast aficionado. Makes a mean salad dressing.
